Thomson Green Accountants has a commitment to your privacy and complying with the Privacy Amendment Act 2000 and the National Privacy Principles. We have set out these principles to provide you with the highest level of assurance on how we manage and secure your personal information.

 

Thomson Green Accountants have an ethical responsibility beyond the scope of the legislation and will only collect information that is relevant to perform our agreed upon duties.

 

We are a CPA public practice with offices located in Maroochydore and Noosaville, Queensland Australia, with both offices adhering to this policy.

 

Thomson Green Accountants will only collect personal information that we understand to be relevant to perform the duties of our business and to comply with our legal obligations.  The type of information will vary according to our agreed duties and our objective is not to hold information beyond this scope.

 

We will only disclose personal information in performing our agreed upon duties. As we have a business relationship, this information may be used for the following:

-       Conducting our normal business duties

-       Communicate our level of services available. We at times may use this information for direct emailing where we believe the information provided may be of benefit to you, unless expressly advised in writing.

-       Comply with our legal obligations

We will provide personal information to:

-       Associated entities of Thomson Green Pty Ltd, including other individuals and companies that provide business services on a contract basis to us.

-       All third party entities that you provided written approval or you have given a verbal expression to transmit this information.

 

Thomson Green Accountants will at no time on-sell personal information to third parties.

 

Thomson Green Accountants, a CPA quality assured accounting practice ensures all staff respect the confidentiality and privacy of all personal information and are required as part of their employment contracts, sign an Acceptance Use Policy that includes a confidentiality clause. We take reasonable steps to protect against the loss or mi-use of this information under our control with physical and electronic security systems. All physical information no longer deemed relevant is physically destroyed in-house.

Upon written request to the Privacy Officer of Thomson Green Accountants and provided there are no legal reasons preventing us, Thomson Green Accountants will provide you with the details of all personal information. A request fee will be advised prior to providing the information where required. You then have the opportunity to review this information and advise us on any amendments to the information held.
